Of Whales and Frogs
Flying in an airplane over land, I reach the end of it and underneath me, an endless ocean appears. The water is crystal clear; I see two huge whales vertically floating in the water. Air and water become one and I float peacefully together with the whales. One of them glides towards me, its huge eye is near my face, it opens its mouth to speak to me, and I wake up. It is 7 am.
After breakfast, I prepare the healing studio for my client arriving at 11. While I am straightening the blankets on the couch, the image of a frog is suddenly very present in me. Ay! It feels this has to do with my client, and I don’t like that. I train my psychic self to receive messages for clients when the person is actually right in front of me, or when I do a distant psychic reading, looking at their photo. So I thank the Spirit frog and tell it I understand its eagerness to get through, but I have to do other things first and I will tune in to it later. Sig and I go out for our morning walk.

We walk our usual round around the Tor and on our way back, I see a beautiful frog on the road. It is flat and it is dead. Again, the client I’m about to meet in an hour, comes to mind. Although I am grateful for the persistence of the spirit world to show me something, I do want to wait with any interpretations until my work starts at 11am. It is also possible that Spirit frog is annoyed with me and this dead frog represents its chagrin.
Regular readers know that I delight in doing laundry. That morning I have just enough time to play with my new laundry airers; they hang neatly on the railing of the back porch just catching the autumnal sun; by the end of the day, I will have dry clean clothes in my wardrobe, and look, without electricity!
11am, client arrives. He takes place on the treatment table, I say my opening prayer and as soon as I touch his back, there’s the frog again. I now get a better understanding why this animal is helping my client and also, why I needed to see the dead one as well. As an amphibian a frog metamorphoses from a tadpole in the water to a mature frog on land. This frog had to do with being in two worlds and being dead-still, with waiting a bit longer in making life-changing decisions. Client gone after an hour and I go back to the office to write a new blog, work on my website and get web shop orders ready for the post office to send out before the nation-wide strike of Royal Mail employees starts.
After lunch, I have three Japanese clients, they don’t speak English and they bring a British friend with them, who will interpret. I find it a fascinating challenge. They each have a half hour session with me and I am a bit worried initially that I’m not delivering a flowing reading when every sentence I say is translated first. It all goes well, the translator is quick and when I make a joke in English half a minute later I hear my Japanese client laugh, so I feel the messages come through well from every perspective.
The last client of the day is the lovely M. She comes at 4.30 for an energy treatment. The old-and-trusted laying on of hands. I tune in and see a colour and symbol I will work with during our time together: the soft white of a salt water pearl. During the session I see more images that link to that soft white, like the frothy foam of ocean waves, salt water (didn’t I dream of oceans and whales last night?) sand, shells and pearls. I use these images to send the clearing healing energy from Spirit World, through my hands into M’s body. Time does not exist anymore and after what feels like 10 minutes, the one hour healing session is over. M floats out of the house, and I feel good too.
A healing energy treatment and psychic bodywork session works both ways, it energizes the healer and the client, it is a great way to start and close off a psychic working day.
