An
orb situated above my eldest sister |

The left orb was on top of my daughters' heart chakra, and the right orb appeared during Christmas breakfast on the dress of a friend

I like enhancing orbs like this because it makes them surprisingly beautiful in colour, and that appeals to my artistic heart. I got the idea from Hubble telescope photos of galaxies and far-away gas formations. NASA artificially colours them to make their shapes and substances more visible. In a very simple way I've done the same with these two orbs above. I've increased the brightness/contrast and shadows/highlights in iPhoto. |

Not every odd light phenomena in photographs are orbs! Here are a few examples:

Elbow Stone at Calendar II,a sacred site inCentral VermontThis was taken in the early '80's with a 35mm camera and is not an orb as we know them now. I would call this a light anomaly. |

And yet, I do not think the above photo's are true orbs. Every time I take a photo near a street light, a sphere appears in different stages of completion. I think this is digital lens/light/flare optical distortion |
